South Coast Optometrists is a community based family practice providing full-scope eye healthcare utilising the latest technology in diagnostic equipment.
There are two family practices, with a team of committed and experienced staff, serving the community in the outer southern suburbs of Adelaide and the Fleurieu Peninsula. Local staff are employed who understand the specific needs of families in the southern region.

Meet our Optometrists
Optometrist, Seaford, Aldinga
Kurt graduated from QUT in 1997 and began working in independent private practice in Brisbane. He moved to Adelaide in 1999 to work with the Optical Superstore, and subsequently National Pharmacies Optical in 2005. With an interest in ocular diseases he completed his therapeutic qualifications in 2012. Kurt and Jenny were proud to start South Coast Optometrists in 2016, which was previously Graeme Jenkins Optometrist. They have a passion for optometry and caring for families in the local area. He has two sons, Alistair and Patrick, and is the current president of Optometry South Australia.>
Jenny graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1998, after completing an externship in Nepal. As she grew up in rural Victoria, she spent the next few years working in Bendigo and Maryborough, before moving to Adelaide and taking a position with Health Partners Optical. In 2016 she and her husband Kurt started South Coast Optometrists, which was previously known as Graeme Jenkins Optometrists. Jenny has a passion for patient care and you'd be hard pressed to find a sunnier personality. She has two sons and a husband who keep her amused and exasperated in equal amounts. >
Optometrist, Aldinga, Seaford
Hayley grew up in country Victoria and moved to South Australia to study Optometry at Flinders University. After discovering the stunning beaches she never wants to leave. Her special interests include children's vision assessment and vision training. She is also qualified to prescribe eye-drop medications for conditions like glaucoma, infections, uveitis and dry eye. Her article about ‘Pseudoexfoliation Glaucoma’ has been published in Optometry Australia’s Pharma Journal and she has also presented at several continuing professional development seminars. >
